About Of Sankalpa Organization

BACKGROUND AND INCEPTION OF SANKALPA :

The state Odisha is situated in the eastern region of the Country and is having high natural resource base. It has a huge coastal belt, high forest cover and huge minerals reserves along with good climatic and fertile land.

To census 2011, 23% of the state's population belongs to Scheduled Tribe and 16% belongs to the Scheduled Caste constituting 40% of the total population of the state. Poverty in Odisha remains confined to Southern and Northern regions where the SC-ST population percentage is higher.

Mission: -

To promote the ability of deprived community in enhancing their livelihood with available resources and skills including, building accountability of governance system in order to constitutional provisions

Objectives

To promote community institutions of vulnerable and deprived community especially for distress migrants, women, disabled, small & marginal farmers enabling them in accessing their livelihood.

Program

COVID-Response - Program

With the Support of Aid- ed- Action Key Activities:-
  • Creation of Awareness among the returnee migrants for taking registration in GP level and join in local TMC for remain quarantine.
  • Provided dry food to 245 nos. of returnee migrants (rice,patato, Dal,suger,tea, Biscuits) as well as soap and sanitiser and advised for remained always neat and clean at HHs level.
  • Distributed Dry food 300 nos of identified destitute, old women.men and children in Turekela and Belpara block.
  • Linkaged to 500 nos of returnee migrants in social schemes of Govt. and lobby ,advocacy at GP and block level for their survival.
Formation of FPO (Farmers Producer Organization):

  • Now we are focusing on mobilization and organization of farmer groups in order to get into a platform. These groups have been constituted by the voluntarily support of farmer and organization.
  • Its aim and objective is reduced distress sell of agricultural products as well as enhancement of farmers income in village level.
