Community based Drought Response Programme : 2002-2005
Key Activities:
- Construction and renovation of water bodies (Ponds/WHS/TWT etc.)
- Land development
- Promotion of non-land-based activities.
- Plantation in private land/Govt. land.
- Avenue plantation
- Nutritional garden promotion
- Formation and management of different institution (User groups, Grain bank, Former group, SHG, Forest protection group, Labour societies etc.)
- Nursery raising (Fruit/Fodder/Timber)
- Construction of dug well.
- Capacity building training programmes.
Broad outcomes :
- Constructed 35 new WHS and renovated to 15 TWHS.
- Developed 50 acres of land of small and marginal farmers.
- Undertook plantation activities over 50 Acres of community land at Larki village.
- Created 250 nos of Gully plug 150 nos of,stone bonding and 300 earthen bond over the field of community and individuals
- Promoted horticulture in 35 acres of community land. Promoted 40 Seeds bank & Grain bank. Promoted 200 women SHGs and linked with income generation program. Promoted 42 migrant’s laborer society covering 4500 members.
- Formed 12 farmer committees of 500 small and marginal farmers. Promoted sustainable agriculture model with 25 farmers
- Covered 10,000HHs in this project for their livelihood by providing work opportunities at the door steps.
